A man died on Friday after he was trapped under a cement mixer that hit him in Yau Tong.
Sources at the scene say the fatal accident happened on Tung Yuen Street near Sam Ka Tsuen Ferry Pier shortly after noon, when the cement truck was making a turn into a cement factory.
The victim – reportedly a worker in his 50s – was later pronounced dead at the scene.
It was the second deadly traffic accident involving a cement mixer in roughly three weeks.
In late September, a cement mixer truck plunged off a flyover in Cheung Sha Wan, which left the 67-year-old driver dead and four others injured.
