Big Hit Music in a statement shared, “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We thank all the fans for your continued support for BTS and would like to update you on J-Hope’s upcoming enlistment into the military. J-Hope will fulfil his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of his entry.”

According to the agency, just like Jin, J-Hope’s enlistment day will be a private affair. Restricting fans, the agency mentioned in their statement, “The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. To prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, fans are advised to refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts.”

They continued, “We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages that illegally use the artist’s IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP.”

“We ask for your continued love and support for J-Hope until he completes his military service and returns. Our company will also strive to provide all the support he needs during this time. Thank you,” it concluded.

Soon after, J-Hope took to the fan community, Weverse and dropped a smiling selfie where he appeared rather nervous. He wrote to fans, “Have a great weekend. Don’t worry too much!!!! I love you, ARMY.” Reacting to the update, a fan wrote on Twitter, “We’ll wait for you our hope.”

“Please say aprils fools,” added another fan. Someone also added, “I know they will enlist one by one but atleast they can do it in a way that we are not left alone, I just don’t want them all to be in the army at the same time atleast one member can stay here with us! It’s fair right !!”

BTS comprises RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jin, Jungkook, V and Jimin. In December last year, Jin enlisted in the Korean army. J-Hope made his solo debut with Jack In The Box last year as the members are on hiatus to focus on individual careers.
