All parties active with road shows as high voltage campaign ends on Sunday | High voltage campaign

Kozhikode/Kannur: The state witnessed excited campaign events of various political parties as the high voltage campaign concludes on Sunday evening. The Election Commission had banned ‘Kottikalasham’, the final event of high voltage campaign, due to the COVID situation. However, LDF, UDF and NDA teams are active with the last round of campaign.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan conducted a roadshow at Dharmadom, while opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala held roadshow at Nedumkandam in Idukki and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Kozhikode.

The chief minister’s roadshow was scheduled to start on Sunday by 2 pm. But it was delayed by about one hour. Actors Harishree Ashokan and Indrans took part in the roadshow that started from Peralassery. Huge participation of public including women and children also could be seen.

Meanwhile Ramesh Chennithala told Mathrubhumi News that he is confident that UDF will come to power. There is a pro-UDF wave in Kerala as people want a change, he said.

Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi attended roadshow along with candidates of Kozhikode North and South constituencies. After this, Rahul left to Thiruvananthapuram to take part in Nemom constituency.

NDA also is taking this opportunity to show their strength. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also had attended the road show held in Kozhikode the other day.
