Escalating fossil fuel costs combined with carbon reduction targets are driving cement producers to accelerate the adoption of alternative fuels. While in Europe, average thermal substitution rates (TSR) have reached 50 per cent, the level is far lower in most other regions, where alternative fuels are now playing a growing role in cement plant fuel strategies.
This webinar will cover the sourcing, preparation, storage and firing of alternative fuels in cement kilns. Presentations from leading technology suppliers will provide information on the technologies available for successful AF utilisation, while providing recent examples of AF projects in a variety of contexts.
