Amber Enterprises Q4FY22 PAT down -24.17% at Rs57.22 crore on higher materials and inventory costs

Amber Enterprises Ltd reported 21.16% growth in sales revenues yoy for the Q4FY22 quarter on consolidated basis at Rs1,936.70 crore. On a sequential basis, revenues were higher for the quarter by 98.78%.

For full year FY22, the revenues were higher by 38.8% at Rs4,206 crore. For Q4FY22, the sales Amber of consumer durables turned around over the previous quarter as the factory lockdowns stabilized.

Net cash flows were higher for FY22 over FY21 as the rise in inventories and receivables were offset by rise in payables.

The consolidated net profit for Q4FY22 was down -24.17% at Rs57.22 crore while it was up on a sequential basis by 78.14%.

The yoy fall in profits was largely on account of a sharp spike in raw material costs and inventory costs. Due to supply chain constraints, Amber had to maintain higher inventories leading to more funds getting locked up in the working capital cycle of Amber Enterprises.

Net margins stood at 2.95% in Q4FY22 quarter compared to 4.72% in Q4FY21. NPM was lower sequentially against 3.30% in Q3FY22.
