With the announcement of the release date, Bandai Namco also opened pre-orders for both the Collector’s and Premium Editions of the game on its official storefront. The standard edition is priced at $59.99, while the Collector’s Edition costs $229.99, and the Premium Edition comes in at $449.99. Both the Collector’s and Premium Editions include the Melander C3 G13 Special Customization Tenderfoot pre-order bonus, which allows players early access to the Melandar C3 parts and emblem, along with a special decal.

The Collector’s Edition offers a steelbook case for the game, sheets of stickers featuring iconography from the game, a set of four pins, a digital copy of the soundtrack, a physical art book, and a 19cm tall Armored Core figure. The Premium Edition is nearly identical, but it also includes a 32cm garage accessory for displaying the figure.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon features third-person mecha gameplay, with fast-paced firefights, missiles, explosions, and agile mech movements. The game also includes extensive customization and epic boss fights, true to FromSoftware’s style. Game director Masaru Yamamura shared that the game has missions with a range of objectives, from combat-oriented encounters to recovering data logs from wreckage.

A new feature, Assault Boost, allows players to switch between long-range gunfighting and close melee instantly, enabling them to perform incredible maneuvers. Yamamura compared the game’s movement speed to that of Armored Core III and Armored Core V, but with a focus on tempo and combat changes.

The game’s story revolves around a mysterious substance called “Coral,” discovered on the remote planet Rubicon 3. Instead of advancing humanity’s technological capabilities, Coral caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and surrounding stars. Players control an independent mercenary infiltrating Rubicon 3, now caught in a struggle over the substance with various factions.
