A new BBC series is expected to explore what goes on behind the scenes at an airline.

Aviation series ‘Flight Club’ is set to follow the cabin crew working for Scottish airline Loganair, and it is claimed the show will even document some of the crews’ romances as well as the on-board drama.

A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “’Flight Club’ will have everything – gorgeous crew, handsome pilots and a little travel inspo to inspire some wanderlust.

“But it’s the office romances at 35,000 feet, flirty passengers and bitching that really make it.

“We’ve all heard stories about the partying lifestyles of cabin crew so expect lots of that.

“Flight Club will show the real world of aviation, not just groaning passengers who have missed their flights.”

A BBC source added: “With great characters being their authentic selves doing something they love and regional voices and stories, it has all the ingredients we love in a show.

“It’s an aspirational series that will show that there is more to the job than just flying passengers from A to B.”

In previous years, aviation shows have focused on the more mundane work at the airport, with a look at difficult passengers and catching smugglers at customs.

But this show is expected to revolve around the glitz and glamour of the cabin crew.

The show about the high life was filmed during the summer at regional carrier Loganair’s headquarters in Glasgow.

It’s set to air on BBC Three over the coming winter months.

BBC previously aired ‘Airport’, a series that ran for 10 years from 1996 to 2006.

The documentary show was based at London Heathrow Airport and followed the lives of passengers and crew.
