CBSE Exam Date Sheet 2024 updates: Class 10th and 12th timetable soon @cbse.gov.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has confirmed that the Class 10th and 12th board exams will commence from February 15 and conclude on April 10. This year, over 35 lakh students are preparing to appear for the CBSE Board Exams 2024. In a significant development, CBSE has announced a notable change for the upcoming exams. They have decided not to award overall divisions, distinctions, or aggregates to Class 10 and Class 12 students. This decision comes in response to requests from candidates for greater transparency in the evaluation process.

In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CBSE is introducing biannual board exams starting from the year 2024. This new system will allow students to retain their best scores and choose to appear for exams in subjects they feel most prepared for. This move aims to provide flexibility and reduce the pressure on students during the board exam season.

CBSE is also introducing a provision for students engaged in national or international sports events and Olympiads. To be eligible for special exams, candidates must ensure that the sport they participate in is recognized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI). Similarly, for Olympiads, recognition by the Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education (HBCSE) is required. This provision aims to promote a balance between academic pursuits and extracurricular activities for students.
