Celebrating India: I-day Events Draw Large Crowds Across State | Hyderabad News

Hyderabad: Citizens, officials and public representatives participated in large numbers in Independence Day celebrations across the state on Monday. Flag hoisting ceremony was accompanied with cultural events at residential societies and government offices at mandal and gram panchayat level in all districts. District collectors have urged people to join in the mass singing of national anthem on August 16 at 11.30am.
Many government officials and employees were felicitated for their outstanding service.
Participating in the Independence Day events in Siddipet, health and finance minister T Harish Rao enumerated the several government programmes taken up for people of Telangana.
Municipal administration and IT minister KT Rama Rao travelled to Rajanna Sircilla district to participate in the Independence Day celebrations.
In Suryapet, officials have made arrangements for the mass singing of national anthem on Tuesday. There will be a gathering of 1,000 people at Col Santosh Babu cross roads, and a gathering of 2,000 people at Jangaon cross roads.
