C’garh honoured for achieving 100% target in healthcare

Chhattisgarh was on Sunday honoured by the Union Health Ministry with certificate of appreciation for achieving 100 percent target of making functional health and wellness centres within the stipulated time.

An award was conferred on the state at a function in Varanasi to mark the Universal Health Coverage Day.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya chaired the function which was presided over by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

An official communiqué said Chhattisgarh was given the target of making functional 4,825 health and wellness centres till December 2022. It developed more than the target: 4,887.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo congratulated the state health department for the achievement.
