Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has directed the public works department (PWD) to carry out concretisation of several roads in rural areas of the state at a cost of Rs 200 crore.

The department has already prepared a proposal for the identification of roads eligible for repair and concretisation.

The recommendations and proposals of the legislators have also been taken into consideration.

The Chief Minister has directed the PWD to give priority to such roads in rural areas which need repair and concretisation.

He also directed the officials of the department to seek proposals with regard to roads that require repair and concretisation.

The concretisation work could not be initiated earlier due to rainfall in the state.

The PWD will begin the repair and concretisation of roads soon for smooth traffic movement.
