Amid spiralling energy prices and rising costs across the board, it’s been confirmed that Cumbria’s longest-running trade show will be back in Spring 2023 with the spotlight firmly on supporting businesses from a range of industries through the current economic challenges.

The Lakes Hospitality Trade Show will return for its 46th year on Wednesday 1 and Tuesday 2 March, ahead of the main 2023 visitor season. Taking place at the Junction 36 Rural Auction Centre near Kendal, the event is managed by the Lakes Hospitality Association (LHA) in conjunction with Cumbria Tourism.

The show will bring together not just hospitality businesses and suppliers from Cumbria and the North of England, but companies of all shapes and sizes from an increasingly wide range of industry sectors. It builds on the success of this year’s show, which attracted 1,500 visitors and was described as the “biggest and best” in its long history.

Free to attend, people attending the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show 2023 will have access to more than 150 exhibitors showcasing a wide range of cutting-edge industry products and innovations – with a key focus on efficiency and helping companies make the most of limited resources.

Exhibitor stands will range from catering equipment, and food and drink suppliers, to IT technology, transport, furnishings, visitor attractions and professional services such as insurance, legal and financial support.

There will also be special masterclasses with industry experts and a dedicated first floor exhibition space for smaller and new businesses, along with a new exhibitor networking evening on the first night of the show – enabling them to build knowledge and forge new collaborations to help grow their businesses.

Event Organiser for the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show, Amy Thompson, says “There’s no escaping the fact that the economy is a minefield for hardworking businesses right now, so it’s fantastic to be back with positive news to confirm the return of the Lakes Hospitality Trade Show for 2023.

“Now in its 46th year, the show will be more important than ever, not just in tourism and hospitality, but for all industries. It’s an opportunity to come together, to showcase services and products, and of course, to network and support one another through the challenges the industry is facing.”

She adds, “The Lakes Hospitality Trade Show has always been a hub for local and national companies to showcase their businesses to the sector. Once again, our aim is to be a stepping stone for both our exhibitors and our visitors, enabling them to grow and to sell business to business.

“This year we’re also extending our marketing strategy to attract visitors from further afield and putting an extra emphasis on the exhibitor experience too. The events team is currently lining up headline speakers and special guests and there will be further announcement in the coming weeks. So watch this space for more details!”

In the meantime, there are still a limited number of exhibition stands available. For more information, contact sarah@lakeshospitalitytradeshow.co.uk
