In a significant development, the Directorate of Education, Delhi government, has issued an official order paving the way for the resumption of normal school activities in the capital. Commencing on February 6, all government-aided and recognized private schools in Delhi will revert to their regular schedules, citing the improved weather conditions.
The official notice states, “In view of the improved weather conditions in Delhi, all government-aided and recognized private schools of Delhi shall resume their full normal timings w.e.f. February 6 (Tuesday). The HoSs must inform all students, parents, and staff well in time through Mass SMS facility, Phone calls, SMC, and other suitable means of communication.”

Previously, the Delhi government had adjusted the school timings to be from 9 am to 5 pm due to dense fog and cold wave conditions. This decision was made following the conclusion of the winter break, which was scheduled from January 1 to 15.

With this directive, students, parents, and staff can now anticipate a return to the usual routine as the education system adapts to the changing weather conditions in the region.
