The rapid advancements experienced in the EV sector have allowed manufacturers to unlock never-before-seen and never-before-possible performance capabilities, with top speeds, acceleration, and power outputs that would have sounded laughable only a decade ago. And this reality is perfectly encapsulated by the release of DEUS Automobiles’ all-new fully-electric hypercar, the Vayanne.

First unveiled last month at the New York Auto Show, DEUS’ inaugural offering was born out of an extensive collaboration between the Austrian EV startup, legendary Italian coachbuilder Italdesign, and the UK’s Williams Advanced Engineering. While Italdesign penned the hypercar’s bodywork, WAE worked closely with DEUS to develop a powertrain that can only be described as state-of-the-art. The Vayanne is expected to boast a 1,640-kW (2,200-hp) powertrain that’s good for 1,475ft-lbs of torque, a 248-mph top speed, and a 0-60mph time of just 1.99 seconds — all while still delivering a range of around 310 miles on a single charge.

Boasting a curb weight of just under 4,000lbs, the Vayanne currently only exists as a concept car, though DEUS plans on delivering what it calls a “producEon” version of the vehicle within the next few years, though the number of examples built will be limited to only two digits. Like its sleek exterior, the car’s cabin sports a futuristic design language with LED accent lighting, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and carbon race seats. The entire vehicle also rides on a custom-designed set of five-arm carbon fiber wheels.

Limited to only 99 units in total — each of which will be uniquely tailored to the customer’s specifications — the DEUS Vayanne Hypercar is expected to begin deliveries starting in 2025.
