Car dealerships of most car brands are offering large discounts of INR50,000 and more to lure customers. This also helps dealers clear old stock fast. For sure, dealers let go of their margins slightly. The year gone by has been very good for both automakers and car dealers. Will December let them have their fitting last hurrah?

Anuj Chadha, a company executive, owned an old Hyundai Santro so he decided to exchange it for a Grand i10Nios (manual transmission) from the same company. Chadha was lured by the large discounts offered in the closing month of the year and it actually sped-up his decision. After a round of bargaining with an authorised Hyundai dealership at Delhi, he was able to strike a lucrative deal, with the dealer offering him a tidy discount of INR72,000
