Edinburgh railway travellers are facing chaos in Scotland’s capital city as the busy cross-country route is closed due to heavy rainfall for the rest of the day. The commutation on the railway route connecting Newcastle and Edinburgh is disrupted.

The London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has also advised commuters to avoid their travel through that route. LNER informs them that the rail services connecting Newcastle and Edinburgh are cancelled due to flooding. And the heavy rainfalls are a bit chaotic, causing travel restrictions in the eastern parts of Scotland. The CrossCountry trains have also conveyed the public leveraging social media platforms.

LNER mentioned that the coaches would run, but the frequency could be much higher. If the commuters decide not to travel, the LNER will fully refund the ticket amount. Also, the Network Rail is taking measures and working hard to re-open the line between Newcastle and Edinburgh.
