Eric took to his offical Twitter handle and wrote for Eva, “EVA LONGORIA: you just made derogatory remarks about daytime actors! You simply weren’t good enough to survive the pressures of this medium! You were very lucky to get on that “housewife” show! You did one show in 8-12 days, with mediocre but salacious dialogue! Our actresses.”

Reacting to the tweet, one person commented, “Gee Mr. Braeden, that was harsh.” To which, Eric responded, “So? When people who have not made it in the medium or have no idea what it is about , say pejorative things about it, I get pissed off! Because I’m 1 of few people in it who have done it all: FROM THEATRE TO FILMS 2 LOADS OF NIGHTIME GUEST STAR ROLES! Know WhT talking about!” Another person wrote, “I just saw the clip and she didn’t say anything bad. Nor did she make any derogatory remarks about daytime actors. She just said that she made more money being a headhunter than she did on Y&R.” To which, Eric replied, “Come on now, the whole tenor of that segment was one of embarrassment about her stint in Y&R and HOUSEWIVES! What did you not get about that?”

Other person commented, “I cannot (and would never try to) speak for her, but my takeaway was less a commentary on daytime actors, and more a commentary on an industry that doesn’t give a lot of daytime actors the respect or pay they deserve, due to a bias the media enables – and that she feared.” To which, Eric said, “Well, it’s the obvious embarrassment she feels about her unsuccessful try at it! THAT‘S what I resent! Be proud of your past endeavors! But you are right, there’s this sense of what we do, entertaining MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD ON A DAILY BASIS, as somehow less than!”

“She was not talking about Young and the Restless. She was talking about Desperate Housewives”, wrote one. To which, Eric replied, “Stop that nonsense, I saw and heard what she talked about!!! And it was derogatory!!!”
