Flower jewellery was a cheaper alternative to diamonds and quickly became popular among Indian women. Indian women have always cherished the natural beauty of their surroundings and have revered flowers as a symbol of beauty and love.

Another industry expert, Rohan Sharma, Managing Director of RK Jewellers South Extension 2, explained the trend’s emergence by saying that flower jewellery has long been an important part of Indian culture. Flowers used in jewellery are a popular theme in Indian weddings. Flower jewellery is a trend that is here to stay, thanks to the rise in eco-friendly fashion.
“People are increasingly preferring flowers to diamonds and other gems because they are a beautiful part of nature, are relatively inexpensive, and are environmentally friendly,” he added.
He also suggested a few ways and tips to utilise flower jewellery:
Wrapped Flowers: If you don’t want to use freshly cut flowers, you can wrap flowers with thread and make a pendant or earrings out of them. This is a great way to use flowers that are not in season. You can also use flowers that are toxic so they don’t spoil easily.
Resin Jewellery: Resin is a great way to create a flower jewellery piece that is long-lasting and not so delicate. You can create pendants, rings and earrings out of resin.
Tips For Wearing Flower Jewellery:
Choose The Right Flower: Not all flowers are suitable for flower jewellery. Some flowers need to be preserved with chemicals and are not very eco-friendly. Carnations are a great choice for a high-quality and eco-friendly flower used in flower jewellery.
