PATNA: The newly-appointed GM of the East Central Railway (ECR) Anil Kumar Khandelwal took stock of the station redevelopment plan at Gaya station during his visit on Saturday. He also visited the Gaya MEMU car shed and reviewed passenger amenities available at the station.
He also reviewed the various ongoing railway projects being carried out at different places under the ECR at a high-level meeting held in Patna on Friday. Khandelwal directed the railway officials concerned to complete the ambitious projects within the stipulated time.
According to ECR’s chief public relations officer Birendra Kumar, the railways has been carrying out various projects related to the laying of new track, advanced signalling system, and construction work of foot over bridges.
The GM stressed on the need to maintain a quality check of the construction works. “A close vigil must be made on the quality of construction materials being used in the projects,” he said.
