Mhathung Yanthan inaugurates North- East Small Finance Bank in Kohima on April 26.

Nagaland’s state capital Kohima has been connected with another financial institution- North- East Small Finance Bank, which was opened today at High School junction, near Vishal Mart.
It was inaugurated by Nagaland’s Horticulture & Border affairs advisor Mhathung Yanthan.
North East Small Finance Bank Limited is a private sector bank in India with its headquarter at Guwahati.
North East Small Finance Bank Limited was founded in 2016. It has 205 branches and provides all the financial services to its customers like saving deposit, fixed deposit, recurring deposit, loans, personal loan, PPF account, lockers, net banking, mobile banking, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, E-Wallet, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jandhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana etc.
The bank provides various services across India through a number of branches, net banking and mobile banking facilities.
Addressing the inaugural function, Yanthan was hopeful that the opening of this new bank branch in Kohima will serve the people well its purpose and contribute to economic growth.
He maintained that durable banking services will go a long way in contributing the economic growth.
Yanthan also challenged the educated unemployed youths to involve in the business activities, saying “When other people from the mainland can come and do business, why can’t we do it.”
He also urged the financial institutions to open more banks in the rural areas of the state.
The North East Small Finance Bank is targeting at facilitating the local entrepreneurs and agri-allied farmers in Nagaland, said North East Small Finance Bank zonal head Chandan Pathak.
