One person dead after two-car crash
Police have confirmed that a person was killed in the crash.
GMP say the driver of one of the cars involved had earlier failed to stop for a police vehicle.
The driver then collided with another car on Urmston Lane.
Police say the driver was sadly declared dead at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
A GMP spokesperson said: “At around 1.30pm on Sunday 16 May, police in Trafford spotted a suspicion vehicle and signalled for it to stop but it failed to do so.
“Officers then lost sight of the vehicle before discovering that it had collided into another vehicle a short time later on Urmston Lane.
“The driver of the first vehicle was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the second vehicle thankfully suffered only minor injuries.”
