A teenage biker has tragically died after a crash with a car at a busy junction.
The 18-year-old motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Corsa, in Stratford Road, near the junction to Highgate Road, in Sparkbrook.
The car driver stopped at scene and is helping police with their investigation. Officers blocked off the junction from 12.30am today (June 4).
It was not expected to be open for a number of hours with drivers urged to allow extra time to travel around the area and use other routes.
West Midlands Police Traffic tweeted: “We are currently dealing with a serious RTC on Stratford Road junction with Highgate Road, Birmingham.
“There is no access to this junction for a number of hours. Please find an alternative route whilst we investigate.”
