Meesho expands into branded products segment with Meesho Mall, ET Retail

New Delhi: E-commerce marketplace Meesho has expanded into branded products segment with Meesho Mall. With this expansion and its vision to democratise internet commerce for everyone, this move helps digitize businesses of small merchants and regional brands, thereby bringing them into the e-commerce fold, the company said in a media release on Wednesday.

Dhiresh Bansal, Chief Financial Officer at Meesho, said, “This strategic expansion into branded products aligns with our goal of offering a diverse and affordable selection to our consumers while being an enabler for several emerging and regional brands looking to tap a larger audience across the country.”

“Since its launch last year, Meesho Mall has been growing by ~30% month on month, processing an impressive ~1 crore+ orders in the past six months. We believe that Mall will be a significant lever for monetisation in the future. Staying true to its vision, Meesho Mall aims to double down on accessibility, affordability, selection, and experience for its diverse stakeholders,” Bansal added.

As the brands expect to leverage the platform’s strong capabilities, wide reach in tier 2+ markets and huge customer base, over 400 national and regional brands such as Bajaj, Biotique, boAt, Decathlon, Bewakoof, Himalaya, Mamaearth, Milton, Paragon, Philips, Plum, Sirona, WOW Skin Science and others have partnered with Meesho Mall.

Meesho Mall aims to transform the branded space with a focus on categories such as personal care & beauty, footwear, electronic accessories, and more.

The Mall marketplace is presently witnessing over 25 lakh unique transacting users every month. Further, it shared that the recent Meesho Mall Sale, has witnessed 4X increase in orders, highlighting the immense growth potential of this venture.
