Key Highlights

  • American actor Keke Palmer attended the event. But unlike other guests who share pictures of their dresses and their friends, Palmer showed fans what she ate during the event.

  • The 28-year-old shared a photo of a plate that had some potatoes, sweetcorn, a few slices of cucumber, and a piece of mushroom.

  • Unsurprisingly, netizens were not at all impressed by the menu due to the fact that Met Gala tickets can set someone back by  $30,000.

Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala that is organized for the benefit of the  Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit.

Every year, some of the biggest names in cinema, fashion, sports, and entertainment garner attention for being part of the exclusive event with a unique style statement.

In other words, they go viral for the costumes they wear. This year, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and a few other celebs went massively viral for their all-black costume. Kim K went viral and also became a meme because her plain all-black outfit covered her face as well.

Like every year, the grand event trended worldwide this week for the bizarre outfits the guests wore. However, one actor chose to focus on a detail that is never discussed or highlighted during Met Gala.

American actor Keke Palmer attended the event. But unlike other guests who share pictures of their dresses and their friends, Palmer showed fans what she ate during the event.

Unsurprisingly, netizens were not at all impressed by the menu due to the fact that Met Gala tickets can set someone back by  $30,000. To be honest, the plate doesn’t look very tempting. In fact, many netizens slammed the menu and said everything appeared raw.

Reports said the vegan menu for the night was prepared by some of the biggest names in New York’s culinary circuit. Unfortunately, the photo of the plate that has gone viral suggests a different story.

A user wrote on Twitter, “Met gala serving this s***? Oh hell nah they making public school lunch food look pleasing.”

“A Met Gala host Keke Palmer shared the food they’re serving, and I’m shocked. This is what $30,000 gets you????” wrote another.
