BHOPAL: MP urban development minister Bhupendra Singh said first batch of coaches for Bhopal and Indore metro rail project will arrive by August 31, according to a press release. However, metro ride for public will take place around May 2024.
“MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed that trial run of metro train for Bhopal and Indore take place in September 2023. Work has to be completed within the stipulated time,” said Singh who virtually addressed private company’s representatives here on Monday. Singh was scheduled to be in Vadodara coach factory on Monday. However, he only virtually inaugurated, the start of production of coaches in Gujarat.
MP state government officials and MP metro rail development corporation limited (MPMRCL) representatives were in Vadodara. At present, the civil work of Bhopal and Indore metro on-going. MP government has plans to start the priority corridors for the two cities by September. It is shorted version of the phase I of metro rail development.
