Myntra’s home category has seen a 50% on-year jump in demand, pushing the online seller of garments to bed sheets, to add 50,000 new products and more than 20 new brands in home section to woo customers in the upcoming festive season.

“As a leading fashion, beauty and lifestyle e-commerce platform, we are seeing a steady rise in demand for stylish and unique home products and with home decor taking center stage during the festive season in India we have strengthened the selection to cater to the home demands of our fashion-forward customers,” said Sharon Pais, Chief Business Officer, Myntra.

Myntra said that the festive season presents an excellent opportunity for consumers to enhance their homes and upgrade their kitchens with appliances, cookware, and dinnerware.

Home furnishing, which comprises half of Myntra’s overall home category, includes items like bedsheets, curtains, and cushion covers, and stands as the primary segment within Myntra’s home portfolio. Brands listed on Myntra in the home category include Bombay Dyeing, Spaces, D’Decor, H&M Home, Starbucks, Anko, Philips, JC Collection, and Ellementary.

Among the most sought-after products in this category are bedsheets, curtains, decorative items, bed and pillow covers, cookware, kitchen storage solutions, dinnerware, and small home appliances, Myntra said.

Also, as more people spend time at home in post-pandemic world the interest in aesthetics have increased, prompting consumers to invest more in home furnishings and decor. The growing fashion consciousness in the realm of household furnishings has also been driven by the prevalence of hybrid work and work-from-home arrangements, further shaping consumer preferences within this category, Myntra said.
