North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) is offering inclusive and family friendly activities to community members throughout the summer. There are a variety of events and programs in store to keep residents active, connected and having fun.

Here’s a preview of the summer schedule.

Movies in the Park

Saturdays, July 9-Aug. 6

Grab a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy a free movie outside under the stars. Spend time with friends and family on a warm summer evening enjoying big screen entertainment, including Cruella, Encanto, Sing 2, Raya and the Last Dragon and Spider-man: No Way Home.

Concerts in the Park

July 12 and Aug. 13

Bring the entire family to enjoy live music outdoors in the parks this summer, featuring Viano String Quartet on July 12 at North Clackamas Park and BridgeCity Soul on August 13 at Milwaukie Bay Park.

Traveling RecMobile

Monday-Friday, June 27-Aug. 12

Join summer recreation staff at selected parks throughout the North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District for a variety of games, sports, crafts and active play. This is a free drop-in program for children ages 6 to 10 years old.

Fitness in the Park

Sign up for two weeks of free, outdoor Fitness in the Park classes, including tai chi, Zumba, HITT and yoga. Sponsored by Bob’s Red Mill. Full six-week Fitness in the Park classes are also available.

Big Surf Recreation Swim

June 20-Sept. 4, noon to 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Beginning June 20, the North Clackamas Aquatic Park’s Big Surf Recreation Swim will extend its summer hours. This recreational swim time is open to the public daily and features 400,000 gallons of staycation fun for families, with three water slides; a 29-foot rock-climbing wall; Oregon’s largest wave pool with 4-foot waves; a kiddie pool for those under 6 years of age; and a hot tub for those over the age of 18. Reservations can be made online.
