The Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission issued one drilling permit last week for a wildcat location in Union County.
Petro-Chem Operating Company of Shreveport is the operator and Fran Oil Company is the contractor for the Mahony No. 23-1, 2,383 feet FWL and 1,345 feet FSL of Section 23-18S-18W. Permit depth is to 8,900 feet in the Smackover Zone. Work will start April 19.
