Onstate builds high-end jewellery ecommerce store from scratch Prolific North

Leeds ecommerce agency Onstate is celebrating its success taking a jewellery salon from a luxury Hong Kong hotel to an online Shopify store and beyond.

High-end jeweller, Ronald Abram, appointed Onstate to reinvigorate its corporate identity and transition it from a physical store to a virtual one for the very first time.

The Yorkshire-based outfit and its in-house creative team immersed themselves into a project that required the heritage of the Ronald Abram brand to remain front and centre, while creating an online shopping experience similar to that customers expect at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, physical home of the brand.

Creative director Rich Day said: “Ronald Abram built its brand on reputation. A second-generation family enterprise full of expertise and attention to detail has made them a trusted name in the high-jewellery sector. So, when they approached us, it was crucial that we trusted in our own expertise and processes.

“As a branding exercise, we had to reflect the luxury and elegance, as well as fulfilling the prestige of the company. We needed to become as attentive as their ateliers and impose intimate details and touches through storytelling to stimulate shoppers, and our UI and UX was at the forefront of this.”

Ronald Abram director Jonathan ‘JJ’ Abram said: “During the discovery process Onstate asked all the right questions and took the time to understand our brand. We are very happy with all the work they have done for us and I highly recommend them.”

Onstate are now looking forward to the challenge of enhancing the jewellery specialist’s online presence through an on-going digital marketing strategy encompassing SEO, Social, PPC and Email.
