Pizza on the menu at Port Severn General Store — 24 hours a day

‘I can offer pizzeria-quality pizza 24/7 without having to work extra hours,’ quips store owner of her new PizzaForno kiosk that will open Aug. 2

Port Severn resident Roni Carli describes her entrepreneurial enterprise as a “one-woman show.”

For the past eight years – by herself – she’s run The Port Severn General Store, a go-to retail destination for food and fashion, shopped by locals and tourists alike.

However, when she was thinking of expanding, she never thought she’d be able to add a pizzeria. Thanks to technology, she can.

On Aug. 2, she’ll celebrate the grand opening of her PizzaForno kiosk. PizzaForno is Canada’s only pizza vending machine, and uses the latest in technology to serve up hot and fresh pizza that’s ready in three minutes, according to a media release from the company.

“I am a one-woman show, so this is perfect for me,” said Carli. “I can offer pizzeria-quality pizza 24/7 without having to work extra hours!”

Even though Carli is always busy managing her business, and serving the community, she takes time to give back whenever she can. She’ll generously donate $1 from every pizza sold on Tuesdays through Dec. 15 to support the Baxter Ward Lions Club in its work in making children’s holiday baskets.

With the touch of a screen, the PizzaForno kiosk serves up seven different pizzas: barbecue chicken, honey and goat cheese, meat lovers, four cheese, pepperoni, veggie, and Hawaiian, ranging from $11-$14 each.

They feature quality meats, cheeses, veggies, and homemade tomato sauces, notes the media release. The dough is made with a secret recipe of six all-natural ingredients. To learn more about how it works, watch a short video here.
