Pokémon Sword & Shield Event Brings Shiny Wooloo To the Wild Area

[ad_1]

The latest event in Pokémon Sword and Shield has brought Dynamax Dubwool and Shiny Wooloo in droves to the Wild Area in the Galar region.

The latest event in Pokémon Sword and Shield has flooded the Wild Area with Pokémon, giving players a chance to catch a Shiny Wooloo. Shiny hunting in Pokémon Sword and Shield is one of the most time-consuming tasks for any player, and those who want a Shiny living Pokédex often have countless hours of tedium ahead of them. As such, they’ll usually take any reprieve they can get from events that increase Pokémon appearance and/or Shiny rates.

The Pokémon Company has thrown fans a bone by giving out Shiny Pokémon through codes and online distribution events in the past. This was especially prevalent during the Nintendo 3DS era, and people who owned all of the games from Pokémon X and to Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon likely have many more Shiny Pokémon than past generations, including Shiny forms of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.

According to Serebii.net, a new event is active in the Wild Area in Pokémon Sword and Shield, and it gives players a higher chance of catching Shiny Wooloo. The event is currently live and will end on May 23. The Shiny version of Wooloo is one of the most prized Shiny Pokémon in Gen 8. As cruel fate would have it, players who spent hours running around in the grass at the start of Pokémon Sword and Shield, searching for a single black sheep, perhaps shouldn’t have bothered.

The event has brought in both Wooloo and its evolution, Dubwool. They can be fought in Pokémon Dens in the Wild Area. The players who can track down a five-star Max Raid Battle against a Wooloo will have a 2% chance of encountering a Shiny variant, which all trainers involved in the battle will have a chance to catch.

The reason Shiny Wooloo is so prized is that it inverts the colors of the original Wooloo, turning it into the literal black sheep of the Pokémon franchise. There are some Pokémon that are notable for their awful Shiny color scheme or tiny changes in huge, so those that stand out tend to be widely sought after by Shiny hunters.

Shiny Wooloo have an neat and unique look, which is why many players try to catch one at the start of their adventure in the Galar region, as they want their black sheep to face all of the Gym Leaders before tackling the unstoppable Leon. Pokémon Sword and Shield have been out for a while now, but Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are coming out later in the year, and maybe the Sinnoh region will now be conquered hordes of traded Shiny Wooloo when they arrive.
