Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 11 new government medical colleges across the state of Tamil Nadu along with a new campus of the Central Institute of Classical Tamil in Chennai (CICT) via video conferencing at 4 Pm on January 12, 2022. The new medical colleges, established at an estimated cost of Rs 4000 crore, have been provided with Rs 2145 crores by the central government and the remaining amount was funded by the state government. “Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will visit Chennai tomorrow (Wednesday) to participate in the event,” Subramanian said.
