Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s looks were fit for royalty as they walked the red carpet at the grand inauguration on Friday of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai. The couple was seen smiling, holding hands and whispering to one another in front of the paparazzi taking photographs, quashing all recent rumours of a tiff. They also met up and chatted with Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas who were also attending the event. Several of the A-list Bollywood stars from Aamir Khan to Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to Alia Bhatt have all been invited for the launch. Deepika showed off her gorgeous Indian outfit for the event on Instagram. She posted the pictures along with the dizzy emoji. The actor had on a detailed gold outfit with a white flowing cape. She was wearing large diamond earrings and had a striking gold maang tika as well.
Singer Shilpa Rao dropped fire emojis on her post, while her trainer Yasmin Karachiwala wrote, “Ufffffffff (heart eyes emojis). One fan commented, “A FREAKING GODDESS.” Another asked, “APART FROM BEING A STUNNER WHAT DO YOU DO FOR LIVIN’? @DEEPIKAPADUKONE (red heart emoji).”
Ranveer had worn a white sherwani that complimented Deepika’s royal gold outfit. The couple couldn’t stop smiling at one another at the event.
They were recently seen with Deepika’s father, former badminton player Prakash Padukone, at the Indian Sports Honours award event earlier this month. The trio had matched in black outfits at the time. A video from that event showed Ranveer extending his hand to Deepika who seemingly ignored it. Many wondered if the couple was going through a tiff.
After seeing the latest video, a person commented, “Ab kahan gaye divorce-divorce gaane vaale (Where are the people who were crying about their divorce).” Another commented, “Shame on those photographers and paid pr who were spreading rumours based on one little incident of missing to hold hand in saree. its big slap on haters who want them separate.”
Priyanka, who had starred with Ranveer and Deepika in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani in 2015, met up with the couple on the red carpet. The foursome had a chat with one another which was captured on video as well.
Deepika was recently seen in the blockbuster hit Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan. She will next be seen in Fighter (2024) with Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. Ranveer’s next is Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani in which he reunites with his Gully Boy (2019) co-star Alia for the Karan Johar film. Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan are also part of the film coming out this July.
