Realty Sector Sees Light At The End Of Pandemic Tunnel | Bhopal News

Bhopal: Realty sector seems to have picked up pace in the last one year with more than one real estate project coming up every month in Bhopal, as per the real estate regulatory authority. As many as 392 new real estate projects have come up in Bhopal this year, while 2205 projects were initiated in the state. The number of projects in the state capital in January this year was 381, while in state, the total number of projects in January was 1997.
In Bhopal, 57597 units are available, as per RERA, while the units that have been sold out are 25713, besides 31884 units, including apartments, commercial, individual houses and plots, are waiting for buyers. In the state, total number of units is 381970, out of which 147932 units have been sold and 234038 units are remaining.
Individual houses remained the most preferred choice of buyers in Bhopal. Of the total 57597 available units, 7787 were individual houses out of which more than half— 4373 units— have been sold.
The real estate market has improved in Bhopal since the pandemic. In the beginning of the year when the number of projects was less, the total units available were 60584 and of them, 33626 units were unsold while in July, the number of projects has increased, but the number of unsold units has come down to 31884.
Going by the number of projects registered with RERA, the projects registered in the first three months of the year were more than the total number of projects registered in the year 2020-2021. The number of registered projects in the state in 2020-2021 was 232, while 352 projects were registered between January and March.
RERA officials said that along with big cities, applications were received for project registration from small towns like Dindori, Jhabua, Katni, Alirajpur, Rajgarh, Betul and Shajapur. Builders said that during the pandemic, the real estate sector had suffered a jolt, possibly the second biggest after demonetisation in 2016.
