Serra Subaru of Traverse City has made a $22,000 donation to help local children battling cancer and blood disorders.

As part of Subaru’s Share the Love event, for every vehicle sold between November and January, they donated $250 into the fund, with customers and community members making donations as well. Their local charity chosen to receive the funds was the Munson Healthcare Pediatric Infusion Clinic, which will help continue giving kids much needed treatment.

“Knowing that we’re helping children, especially children who have cancer; they certainly didn’t raise their hand and ask for that, and so we have to give back a little bit and make sure that they get the treatment that they need,” said Jerry Zezulka, executive manager of Serra Subaru of Traverse City.

Serra Subaru also made donations to the ASPCA, Make-a-Wish, Meals on Wheels and the National Park Foundation as part of the share the love event.
