Share market Holiday: Sensex, Nifty to remain shut on HOLI tomorrow

[ad_1]

The share market is all set to remain closed on Friday on account of the Holi festival. Both indexes of the stock market, Sensex and Nifty, will have a holiday, according to details on the BSE India and NSE websites. The markets operations will resume on Monday again.

Markets got off to a good start and gained about 2%, which is in line with the current recovery phase. In a similar way to the previous session, the benchmark opened with a gap and then stayed in a range for the rest of the day.

However, there was a lot of movement on the general front that kept everyone busy until the end. Most indexes from different sectors helped the move, but real estate, consumer durables, and cars were the big winners.

The market technical analysts said, he recent rebound has relieved some of the stress, but geopolitical tensions and a rise in the COVID case in China will keep people on their toes for a long time. This would help make the 17,500-17,700 range possible. If the index stayed above 17,350, that would open the door. During a fall, the 16,800-17,000 area would be a cushion. Participants should pay attention to sectors and stocks that are showing strength and adjust their positions accordingly.
