Tata Motors said on Tuesday that it appointed Inchcape Plc as its distributor for commercial vehicles in Thailand, re-entering the market after a three-year hiatus.

Tata Motors had stopped selling its pickup trucks and small commercial vehicles in Thailand after it wound up its 100% subsidiary in 2020. It though has been providing support and services to customers there.

Inchcape will initially offer the Tata Super Ace, Tata Ultra T.9, Tata Ultra T.14 and the flagship Tata Prima 5038.S in Thailand. It will widen the vehicle portfolio in line with evolving requirements of the market, the company said.

Inchcape will establish a network of 13 customer touchpoints including for sales, service and spare parts, Tata Motors said.

Tata Motors’ CVs are sold in 44 countries in Africa, the Middle East, South and Southeast Asia, South America and the CIS, among others.
