A 42-year old man named Gattipally Shivpal is the shortest man in India to acquire a driving licence.

He’s from Karimnagar district, Telengana who went against all the odds to avail a driving licence.

This man is full of self-confidence and it’s a very rare attribute.

Shivpal went on to become the shortest person to achieve this feat and was also nominated for the Limca book of records.

“People used to tease me because of my height and today I am nominated for The Limca book of records and many others. Many short people are contacting me for driving training,” Shivpal said.

He went on to share his journey of becoming India’s shortest person to get a driving licence.

Shivpal also stated that he got inspired by a video uploaded by a foreign guy on the internet.

Later, he made many modifications to the seat for a comfortable driving experience. Also, he learnt how to drive with the help of his friend.

It’s difficult to get a driving licence for a person of his height as the transport department has several restrictions for height.

But, after appealing to higher authorities, Shivpal recieved a three-month learner’s licence.

After completing the driving test with an official sitting beside him, Shivpal obtained a permanent license.

After a longing success, he’s planning to establish a driving school for physically handicapped people.

“To commute, whenever I booked cabs, they used to cancel the ride. When I used to go out with my wife, people passed bad comments. That’s when I decided to own a car and ride it,” Shivpal said. “Everybody has some fault in them, but finding your hidden talents and achieving them is what matters,” he shared.
