TSB app and online banking down leaving customers locked out of accounts

TSB’s app and online banking are down for many this morning, leaving thousands of customers frustrated and locked out of their accounts. Both the website and the app had been scheduled for maintenance overnight but customers have said they are still unable to access their accounts this morning (December 3).

When users try to login to their online banking accounts, they are met with a message that says the app and website are updating and TSB is working to get them up and running once again. The full message reads: “We’re updating our app at the moment to make it better for our customers. Sorry, but this means you can’t get into the app right now. We’re working as hard as we can to have it up and running again shortly.”

Customers have been unable to access their accounts for around nine hours -at the time of writing – and many have taken to Twitter to share their frustration as they cannot access their accounts. One person tweeted: “@TSB online banking fixed yet??? Nah, didn’t think so!! Since last night!!”

While another said: “@TSB massive massive inconvenience this morning, How long is the Internet banking down for ???”

A third added: “@TSB can you tell me when the online banking and app will be back up ? it’s a Saturday morning for goodness sake!”

Someone else wrote: “@TSB just wondering when will your banking app be back up? Every time I try to log in this morning I get a message saying “we’re updating the app. Sorry this means you can’t get into the app right now…”. Your website status however says the app is online. What’s going on?”

Another user said: “@TSB can’t login to the app or online banking yet again, your update was meant to finish by 06:00 this morning, how long am I supposed to wait this time to get access to MY money?!?”

In response to the tweets, a spokesperson for TSB on Twitter has said: “Good morning. We’re sorry you’re experiencing issues accessing our Mobile App or Internet Banking this morning due to essential maintenance we are carrying out on both services. We are working to make both services available as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.”
