Government is implementing incentive scheme to promote automobile sector: Mahendra Nath Pandey

‘Efforts are being made to revive heavy industries including HEC’

Jamshedpur, September 30: The Union minister for heavy industries, Mahendra Nath Pandey addressed denizens of the city on Thursday at a program organised by city BJP unit Shri Krishna Sansthan in Bistupur.

Addressing the conference, Union minister said that the BJP is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi with gaiety with the aim of taking the life story of the immortal revolutionary to the people and claimed that while other political parties do politics of casteism and dynasty, BJP does politics of overall development.

“The NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fulfilling the dream that our forefathers had dreamed of years ago. The other opposition parties including the Congress as a party focused on the politics of compromise and alliance, while the Modi government at the Center is being described as the government that lived up to the people’s aspirations and expectations,” said Pandey.

Mahendra Pandey also attacked the Jharkhand government.
“During Covid times respecting the federal structure of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had the consent of all the Chief Ministers in whatever campaign he conducted after talking to the Chief Ministers of all the states. Worked for the countrymen by creating a consensus but it was commented on by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Hemant Soren which shows the lowness in politics. Such remarks do not suit a person holding a post like Chief Minister,” said the Union minister.

At the same time, Union Minister Mahendra Pandey appreciated the service work of the workers of the BJP city unit under the Seva Hi Sangathan campaign during Covid times.

He said that apart from the efforts of the government all over the country, BJP workers helped the people with great enthusiasm by arranging for ration material, food packets and even slippers for the passers-by. Unlike other political parties which stayed in closed rooms.

Mahendra Pandey expressed concern over the increasing crime and corruption in Jharkhand. He said that the JMM-led Mahagathbandhan government of the state is trying to shed water on the good governance, development and leadership that was established in the previous BJP government and that naxalism has started spreading in the state and open loot of mineral wealth has started.

During this conference, former president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Ashok Bhalotia demanded to set up heavy industries in Jamshedpur and Adityapur industrial area. He said that the problem of unemployment increases due to slowdown in the automobile sector.

On this, the Union Minister said that work will be done to take forward the proposal of the city’s entrepreneurs towards making an auto hub in Jamshedpur.

The Government of India is implementing various schemes and incentive schemes to promote industries under PLI (Production Linked Incentive Scheme). Under the PLI scheme, the Government of India has made a provision of 1.5 lakh crores to promote domestic manufacturing and to cut the import bill, in which Rs 57,000 crores is to be spent to encourage the establishment of automobile and auto components sector. He said that there is continuous development in the auto sector, so that if the entrepreneurs here come forward in the field of battery manufacturing, then the government will help them in all possible ways.

The Union Minister said that the government is making efforts for the revival of heavy industries including HEC in Jharkhand.

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Varan Mahato, while demanding to make Jamshedpur an auto hub, said that there is a positive environment for this in the city. Tractor factory including rail coach, defence can be opened in the area. He said that the development of the industry would pave the way for the country to become a world guru. He said that Jamshedpur is a mini India where people from all walks of life reside in the country. Jamshedpur can become an auto hub for the north-eastern states, which will provide employment opportunities to a large number of youth.

Former BJP state president Dr. Dineshanand Goswami while attacking Congress said that the condition of the country had deteriorated during the Congress rule itself. He said that BJP has taken a very big and historic step by bringing new education policy.
Union Minister planted saplings at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Kadma. During this, along with the workers, he paid homage by garlanding the statue of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. He held a meeting with the district officials and former district president for the works of Jamshedpur city unit being run under the service dedication campaign. The program was presided by BJP city unit president Gunjan Yadav.
