In its effort to safeguard its workforce and their family members from covid 19 the Jharia Division of Tata Steel procured more than 2000 Covishield vaccines.
The vaccines were airlifted from Jamshedpur and delivered at Jamadoba today. Col Bhawani Singh Nirwan, Head (Administration), Jharia Division, Tata Steel along with Dr Sonal Raj, Senior Registrar,
Tata Central Hospital, Jharia Division, Tata Steel and Sujit Jha, Senior Manager (Security), Jharia division, Tata Steel received it , said division spokesperson Rajesh Thakur.
Jharia Division is not only vaccinating all its employees but is also taking a step forward to vaccinate all its contractual workforce. The target is to ensure 100% coverage by July. More than 80% permanent workforce has already been vaccinated so far, he added.
