New York – A slate of decorative accessories from WestPoint Home celebrate inclusion, diversity, equality and awareness.
As part of the company’s We Stand as One Campaign, the inaugural collection of products are themed around breast cancer awareness, BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color), LGBTQ communities and marriage equality. The proceeds from all items sold during these campaigns support chosen organizations addressing mental and physical health as well as social and patriotic activism.
The Comfort Pillow is the first product designed for the We Stand as One Campaign. Originally conceived as a post breast cancer surgery pillow, the Martex Comfort Pillow is more than a chest pillow. It provides arm support during procedures, can be used for lumbar support and offers alleviation after many other kinds of therapies.
All profits from sales will go to the breast cancer focus area of Dabo’s All In Team Foundation, the namesake charitable organization of Clemson University football head coach William “Dabo” Swinney.
Throw pillows and body pillows spotlight BIPOC and the LGBTQ communities. WestPoint Home conducted a design contest in partnership with Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). FIT student E-Lorraine Johnson created the artwork chosen for the campaign.
“This piece means so much to me for representation. I am a trans-woman and know what it’s like to not see yourself represented,” said Johnson. “This print is truly the tip of the iceberg though; there are so many more people who need representation and to be shown how beautiful they are.”
The design includes people of color, queer people, people of Asian heritage and Muslim descent. The collection includes square and rectangular decorative pillows as well as a body pillow.
A collection of Pride Pillowcase pairs for spring/summer 2022 features the bold colors of the rainbow flag in support of LGTBQ communities. The designs are also featured on decorative pillows.
Introduced in tandem with the Pride initiative, the WestPoint Home’s Love is Love pillowcase pairs promote marriage equality with rainbow-hued colors and positive graphic images. The collection also includes square decorative pillows and body pillows with embroidered words as well as a decorative pillow with tassels.
